Oh man if that is what you are doing you really have to check out rational it is awesome...it is like Notepad ++ for the iSeries. If you want I can post some screen shots of my utilization of it....

You agree using DB2 is the best place to do the main query lifting for reporting... and not eventually porting it over to SQL Server and using that as a sort of mini data warehouse ish sort of thing?...
